Banana Chocolate Crepe

You can make these delicious crepes with a crepe maker or frying pan. This recipe works for both. If using frying pan, simply pour the batter, then swirl the frying pan so that the batter coats the surface evenly.

Prep time: 15 mins
Cook time: 10 mins
Yield: Makes 3 to 4 crepes

Ingredients:
  • 120 gm plain flour/all purpose flour
  • 20 gm cornflour/corn starch
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ cup milk
  • 50 gm butter, melt
  • 2 Tbsp caster sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extra
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 large banana, sliced
Chocolate sauce ingredients:
  • 50 gm black chocolate
  • 1½ Tbsp caster sugar
  • 2 Tbsp whipping cream
Method:
  1. Mix the eggs, butter, milk, sugar and vanilla extract. Sift in plain flour and cornflour. Combine well. Set aside.
  2. Put chocolate, sugar and cream in a bowl. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water, at low heat. Stir occasionally until the chocolate and sugar are completely dissolved. Remove from the heat.
  3. Heat up the crepe maker according to the manufacturer’s manual or a non-stick frying pan. Lightly grease the crepe maker or frying pan. Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter for each crepe and cook both sides until lightly brown. Place banana slices and drizzle with chocolate sauce. Fold into a triangle shape. Drizzle more chocolate sauce on top. Served immediately with ice cream or whipped cream if you like. Enjoy!
