Indian Style Baked Chicken Wings

When it comes to making this dish, either wingettes, the flat middle sections or whole wings can be used. You can get all these spices from Asian grocers or supermarkets.

Prep time: 10 mins
Cook time: 20 mins
Yield: 2 to 3 serves

Ingredients:
  • 15 (about 530 gm) chicken wings
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • ⅛ tsp chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • pepper, to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp olive oil
Method:
  1. Rinse the chicken wings and pat dry with paper towels. Mix well with all other ingredients. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to 180C / 350F.
  3. Remove the chicken wings and rest at room temperature for 20 minutes. Arrange them on a greased baking tray. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes. Flip the wings to the other side after 10 minutes to get them evenly baked. Continue baking until cooked through. Serve hot.
